Paula Rich Receives Holmquist Scholarship

At the CWE Program kick-off meeting held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, Paula Rich was recognized for her performance in the Master of Career and Technical Education (MA in CTE) with a Holmquist Scholarship award. The award was in the form of $500 scholarship toward her tuition.

The Holmquist Educational Consultants Inc. Endowed Scholarship recognizes graduate students pursuing a MA in CTE at USF and holding a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the program. The recipient must be a state of Florida resident, have a track record of success in career and technical education, and strong leadership potential.

Ms. Rich has worked at Indian River State College since 2000. In addition, she worked for five years in an Adult Education Program as a tutor for students in a GED program.  In 2005 she went full time with IRSC in a supervisory position overseeing the Adult Ed programs of ABE/GED, ESL and the Academic Support Center tutoring lab at an off campus site in Port Saint Lucie where she still works today.  Upon entering the MA in CTE program in fall 2013, Paula has performed very well with a current GPA of 4.0 and was nominated by the program faculty to receive the Holmquist Scholarship award. Congratulations!
